The IP Ranges section of Campaign Edit allows you to exclude certain IPs from being targeted by creating ranges around the excluded IP addresses. By default, a campaign targets all possible IP Ranges so long as other targeting parameters are met (such as a user searched a keyword or entered a target fence). If you do not have a specific IP address you want to include or exclude, there is no need to input an IP Range into your campaign.
Note
IP Ranges can be applied to all Campaign Types except for Geo Optimized .
When creating an IP Range , it is important to note the following:
- Only use external (public) IP addresses.
- IPv6 addresses are not accepted. An IPv6 address has eight groups of four hexadecimal digits, with each group separated by a colon. For example, 2001:0db8:85a3:0000:0000:8a2e:0370:7334 .
